Kitchener man arrested in connection with multiple stolen vehicle reports

Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a Kitchener male in connection with multiple stolen vehicle reports.

Between Aug. 29 and Sept. 20, 2024, police responded to three reports of motor vehicle thefts throughout the region.

One investigation involved a commercial break and enter in the area of Hanson Avenue and Hayward Avenue in Kitchener. The suspect entered and stole various tools and a motor vehicle.

The Break Enter Vehicle Theft team took carriage of the investigation.

On September 23, 2024, police arrested a 31-year-old male in connection to the three investigations.

The male was charged with the following:

  • Two counts of theft of a motor vehicle
  • Possession of stolen property over $5000
  • Possession of stolen property under $5000
  • Breach probation order

The male was held for a bail hearing. All vehicles have been recovered.
