Hit-and-run leaves Kitchener man, 52, with life-threatening injuries

On Sept. 20, at approximately 9:40 p.m., emergency services responded to multiple reports of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on Charles Street East near Madison Avenue South.

The pedestrian, a 52-year-old Kitchener male was transported to an out-of-region hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle failed to remain at the scene.

The vehicle was described as a Jeep Compass and was last seen in the area of Frederick Street and Weber Street South.

The roads in the area were closed for several hours for the investigation and have since been reopened.

The investigation remains ongoing by WRPS’ Traffic Services Unit.
