Collision sends motorcyclist to hospital

Waterloo Regional Police continue to investigate a serious collision in Kitchener involving a motorcycle.

On Sept. 11, 2024 at approximately 8:05 p.m., Waterloo Regional Police responded to a collision involving a motorcycle and motor vehicle in the area of Homer Watson Boulevard and Ottawa Street South.

A white Ford SUV exited a private driveway and proceeded to turn left across Homer Watson Boulevard. The Ford SUV collided with a blue Suzuki motorcycle which was approaching along Homer Watson Boulevard.

The motorcycle rider, a 22-year-old Kitchener male, was transported to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The other involved driver, a 21-year-old Kitchener female, was not injured. 

Homer Watson Boulevard was closed between Ottawa Street and Hanson Avenue for several hours during the investigation. The investigation is ongoing.
