Cambridge man injured after being struck by vehicle

A 26-year-old Cambridge male, was transported to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries last night after he was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Hespeler and Brooklyne roads.

Waterloo regional police are continuing to investigate the pedestrian collision and witnesses are asked to come forward.

On Sept. 11, at approximately 8:40 p.m., Waterloo Regional Police responded to the collision involving a white Nissan SUV.

Police say the driver struck the pedestrian in the crosswalk while turning left from Hespeler Road onto Brooklyne Road.

The driver, a 55-year-old Cambridge male, was not injured. 

The intersection of Hespeler Road and Brooklyne Road was closed for several hours during the investigation.
