It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Iona at home after a lengthy battle with cancer at the age of 84.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Doug (2007). Loving mother of Sharon, Gary (Heather), Glenda (Freeman) and Kim. Cherished nanny to Jodie (Brett), Rob (Erica), Jennifer (Kyle) Freeman Jr., Kristie-Leigh (Justin), Alyssa (Chad) and great-nanny to Adrianna, Fox, Blake, Kennedy and Harper. Beloved sister of Lorne (Jane) and Marilyn (Gord). She will forever remain in the hearts of her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A special thank you to Erin and all the nurses from Paramed as well as the nurses and doctors from oncology at Cambridge Memorial Hospital for their care and support.
Cremation has taken place. As per Iona’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service.
