David Geoffrey Ellis was born in Dewsbury, Yorkshire, UK and came to Canada at the age of 11 with his parents, Alwyn G. Ellis and Emily Aveyard Ellis (both deceased).
David lived and worked in the Galt area of Cambridge for most of his life. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Sonia and their only son Christien (Tracey), his grandchildren Jack and Erin, along with the family pet Daisy and his brother Michael (Rose).
David was a quiet, caring person who loved to listen to music, going to the theatre, but most of all, spending time with his family. David Passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital, Kitchener, on Thursday Jan. 2 after suffering a heart attack. At David’s request, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you for the care given by the staff at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, and especially the doctors and nurses at St. Mary’s Hospital.
