The City of Cambridge is offering a new program to show young children what it is like to be a doctor and take role play to the next level.
In partnership with Little Medical School, a Waterloo region based science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) organization, the city has brought the first of its kind programming to the city to help educate young minds who are interested in the medical field.
"Learn about the anatomy and physiology of the heart, lungs, digestive system, and the use medical instruments, as well as learning some basic suturing skills," reads the courses description. "Students will role-play the key responsibilities of a doctor through interactive and engaging activities."
The class will take place on Thursdays starting on Sept. 14 at the WG Johnson Centre and at the Jon Dolson Centre on Mondays.
The programs are aimed at serving children aged 3 through 13 and are offered in 6 to 12 weeks formats.
Prices and registration for the classes can be found on the city's website.
