A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for Waterloo Region for Thursday afternoon and evening.
Environment Canada says we could see heavy downpours and wind gusts of 70 to 90 km/h. It also puts us at risk of a tornado, according to the weather agency.
The storms are expected to develop over southern Ontario Thursday afternoon.
A reminder from Environment Canada too, that strong winds can toss loose objects. You are also being advised that heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.
