The Region of Waterloo, in partnership with the Provincial Government and the Canadian Red Cross, is adding additional third dose vaccine appointments for residents through a pop-up clinic at 99 Regina St. S. in Waterloo.
These third dose clinics will run from Sunday, Jan. 2 through to Saturday, Jan. 8 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and are available by appointment only. Those looking for an appointment can book by visiting: www.regionofwaterloo/getavaccine.
A total of 1,400 additional appointments are being made available to residents through these clinics.
Similar to the previous pop up clinic at 99 Regina St. S. that took place in June, 2021, these clinics will be staffed by the Red Cross.
“These additional appointments would not have been possible without support from the Province, as well as the Canadian Red Cross,” said Regional Chair Karen Redman. “I would like to thank all of our partners for creating this additional capacity in the Region of Waterloo.”
“The Canadian Red Cross is pleased to support the Region of Waterloo and provide additional vaccination appointments in the community,” said Tanya Elliott, vice-president, Ontario at the Canadian Red Cross. “The Red Cross continues to build its capacity to increase access to the COVID-19 vaccine across Ontario.”
Currently, over 120,000 residents have already received their third dose.
