Local fans of horror fiction will get an early Halloween treat next week when best-selling author Nick Cutter, aka. Craig Davidson, comes to the Cambridge Public Library (formerly Idea Exchange), Hespeler location to discuss his latest novel The Queen.

The event will be moderated by Cutter's co-writer on the 2023 horror novel The Handyman Method, Andrew F. Sullivan. The Hamilton native is the author of the novels The Marigold and Waste, which was named a Best Book of the Year by The Globe and Mail.

Cutter's 2014 novel The Troop was a national bestseller praised by giants of the genre, including Stephen King. It is currently being developed for film with producer James Wan.

Other Cutter horror titles include The DeepLittle Heaven and the Audible original The Breach.

His new "heart-pounding novel of terror" tells the story of a young woman searching for her missing friend and uncovering a shocking truth.
