Nineteen artists will be scattered across Galt on Sunday to create their next masterpiece as part of the Art in the Open Cambridge event.

Put on by the Downtown Cambridge Business Improvement Area, 10 locations have been selected where artists will draw inspiration from the local landscape and architecture.

Civic Square, Carnegie Library, Lower Main Street and Queen's Square are just a few of the spots they'll be set up and attendees will have the chance to watch as the creative process unfolds.

Once complete, artwork will be collected and displayed in local businesses as part of a gallery tour from Sept. 30 to Oct. 20.

Passports are available at participating businesses.

During this time, an auction will be held for each piece with proceeds being donated to a charity of the artists' choice.
