Waterloo Regional Police continue to investigate a collision in Cambridge.

On Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021, at approximately 7:30 p.m., emergency services responded to the intersection of Laurel Street and Lawrence Street in Cambridge for a collision involving two vehicles.

The investigation revealed that a grey Nissan Rogue, driven by a 54-year-old female from Kitchener, failed to yield the right of way and pulled out from Lawrence Street directly into the path of a white Honda Civic, driven by a 26-year-old male from Cambridge.

Both drivers and a passenger from the Honda were transported to Cambridge Memorial Hospital by Ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries and were later released. The intersection was closed for several hours for the investigation.

The investigation remains ongoing by members of the Traffic Services Unit. Charges are pending. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact police at 519-570-9777 extension 8856 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
