A 30-year-old man is in hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries following a shooting in a Kitchener neighbourhood early this morning.
Waterloo regional police responded to a report of a male suffering from a gunshot wound in the area of Vanier Drive and Massey Avenue shortly after 2 a.m.
The victim was located with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound and transported to an out-of-region hospital.
This is believed to be a targeted incident.
There will be an increased police presence in the area as members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service's General Investigations Unit continue to investigate.
