Two suspicious fires at Cambridge schools under investigation

Police want to hear from witnesses or anyone who might have captured the incidents on video

Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate two suspicious fire incidents in Cambridge.

On June 27, 2024, at approximately 11:25 p.m., emergency services received a report of a dumpster fire at a school on Sunset Boulevard. The fire was quickly extinguished by the members of the Cambridge Fire Department. There were no physical injuries reported.

On June 28, 2024, at approximately 2:50 a.m., emergency services received a report of a fire at a school on Bismark Drive. Officers arrived on scene and located a large storage shed on fire.

The fire was quickly extinguished by members of the Cambridge Fire Department. There were no physical injuries reported.

Both investigations remain ongoing.
