Two arrested after firearm brandished in North Dumfries: police

Waterloo Regional Police arrested two individuals after an investigation involving a firearm.

On July 21, 2024 at approximately 4 a.m., police were called to an address on Roseville Road in North Dumfries Township for reports of threats with a firearm.

Investigating officers learned an altercation took place at the location where a firearm was brandished. 

There were no reports of any physical injuries.

As a result of that investigation, two individuals were arrested in Guelph.

A 26-year old Waterloo male faces numerous firearms offences along with several Breach of Judicial Order offences. 

A 29-year old Guelph female was charged with one count of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle. 

Police do not believe any other persons were involved and there is no threat to the public. 

The male was held in police custody for a bail hearing and the female is scheduled to appear in court on a later date.
