Seven people face 40 charges after police seize drugs and guns

Four men and three women were arrested this morning following the execution of search warrants in Kitchener and Waterloo

Search warrants executed at homes in Kitchener and Waterloo this morning resulted in the seizure of several firearms, stolen identity documents, counterfeit currency, and drugs, including suspected cocaine, fentanyl, and methamphetamine. 

Waterloo regional police also arrested seven individuals in connection to the two-month drug trafficking investigation.

The Direct Action Response Team (DART), with assistance from the Drugs and Firearms Unit and the Emergency Response Team (ERT), charged four men, a 19-year-old, a 29-year-old, and a 45-year-old, all from Kitchener, and a 22-year-old from Oshawa.

Police also charged three women, a 20-year-old from Waterloo, a 26-year-old from Kitchener, and a 35-year-old.

The accused are facing more than 40 criminal charges, including possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a counterfeit mark, unauthorized possession of a firearm with ammunition, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
