In a night filled with excitement, gratitude and remarkable support, the Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation (CMHF) reached a significant milestone at their annual CMHReveal gala held Feb.24, 2024, at Tapestry Hall.
With over 325 guests in attendance, the evening not only surpassed expectations but also marked the most successful CMHReveal to date, raising an astounding $506,000 and achieving the ambitious $5 million goal for the Spotlight MRI Campaign.
High-energy ‘auctionista’ Layne guided guests through exciting live auctions and Fund-A-Need donations dedicated to the new MRI. As well, the generous donation of two business-class flights from Air Canada for the raffle added an extra spark of excitement to the already vibrant evening.
The success of the evening was further propelled by the gracious commitment of long-term donors and volunteers, Angelo and Monica Loberto, who announced a matching gift challenge. Their generosity inspired others to join the cause, ultimately bridging the gap to reach the $5 million milestone.
The evening also paid tribute to the invaluable contribution of inaugural sponsors, Cambridge Ford and Rego Realty at Corcoran Horizon, whose ongoing support since the inception of CMHReveal in 2019 has been instrumental in its success.
The funds raised at CMHReveal will go towards purchasing a new state-of-the-art MRI machine, replacing the hospital’s current 12-year-old model, and covering costs to prepare the unique space within the newly opened Diagnostic Imaging Department. This initiative is expected to be completed by mid-2025, ensuring continued excellence in patient care.
While celebrating this remarkable achievement, it is essential to acknowledge that the needs of Cambridge Memorial Hospital do not cease. With an ongoing commitment to provide $5 million yearly for equipment, CMHF emphasizes that the success of the Spotlight MRI Campaign is just one step in their continuous efforts to support the hospital's vital equipment needs.
As CMHF looks towards the future, their focus will shift to raising funds for essential equipment that healthcare teams rely on daily to deliver the best possible care to patients.
