Police say firearm was brandished during Cambridge convenience store robbery

Incident took place last night in the area of Water Street South and Myers Road

Police are looking for a suspect who robbed a convenience store in Cambridge on Monday night.

Waterloo regional police say on Nov. 18 at around 10:25 p.m., they responded to a report of an armed robbery at a convenience store in the area of Water Street South and Myers Road.

An unknown suspect attended the business on foot, brandished a firearm, and demanded cash and merchandise from an employee before fleeing the area, heading towards Water Street South. 

There were no physical injuries reported. 

The suspect is described as a male with an average build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

The investigation is ongoing by WRPS’ Robbery Team.
