Pair from Cambridge face charges for drug trafficking

Joint police investigation began earlier this year after fentanyl was trafficked to residents of Waterloo region and Woodstock

Waterloo regional police seized drugs, cash and vehicles alleged to be 'proceeds of crime' in a joint investigation with Woodstock police.

Two Cambridge residents are among four people charged in a joint drug trafficking investigation conducted by Waterloo regional police and Woodstock police.

Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service's Drugs and Firearms Unit, in a joint investigation with the Woodstock Police Service, began their investigation earlier this year around fentanyl being supplied to several individuals in Waterloo region and Woodstock. 

Police completed three search warrants at a residence on Fergus Avenue in Kitchener, Noblewood Drive in Nobleton, and King Street in Toronto. 

 As a result of the searches, police located the following suspected drugs: 

  • Approximately three kilograms of fentanyl 
  • Approximately three kilograms of cocaine 
  • Several ounces of methamphetamine 
  • Approximately 10 kilograms of a cutting agent 
  • Indicia of drug trafficking 

Investigators also seized the following vehicles as proceeds of crime: 

  • 2022 Volkswagen Jetta 
  • 2023 Porche 24G 
  • 2020 Mercedes G-Wagon 

The total value of the vehicles is estimated to be $500,000. 

Police also seized approximately $140,000 in currency. 

As a result of the investigation, police arrested four individuals: 

  • A 31-year-old male from Nobleton 
  • A 38-year-old female from Cambridge
  • A 44-year-old male from Cambridge 
  • A 42-year-old male 

Each individual has been charged with drug trafficking-related offences.
