Police are asking the public for tips that might lead them to a man who sexually assaulted a female walking near Galt Collegiate Institute on Friday night.
Waterloo regional police said around 11:30 p.m. Friday they responded to a report of a sexual assault in the area of Water Street North and Samuelson Street.
The female victim told police she was walking on Water Street North when she was approached by an unknown male who sexually assaulted her.
The male is described as white, 25 to 40 years old, approximately 5’8” tall, with a thin build, wearing a black zip-up hoody and blue jeans.
He was riding a black electric scooter.
The investigation is ongoing by WRPS’ Special Victims Unit.
