Fire that destroyed two trailers in Cambridge called 'suspicious'

Incident happened in the area of Dundas Street North and Samuelson Street, police say

Police are investigating the blaze that broke out in two trailers at the back of the Samuelson Street encampment Friday afternoon.

Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate a suspicious fire in Cambridge that destroyed two trailers.

On Oct. 18, at approximately 1 p.m., emergency services responded to a report of a fire in the area of Dundas Street North and Samuelson Street.

The fire was extinguished by the Cambridge Fire Department.

There were no reports of any physical injuries.

WRPS’ General Investigations Unit is investigating the fire as an arson.
