Cambridge pickup driver involved in collision with motorcycle in Waterloo

Police say charges are anticipated following the Oct. 9 collision on Regina Street North

A 24-year-old motorcycle driver was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries last night following a collision involving a pickup truck driven by a Cambridge woman.  

Members of Waterloo Regional Police Service's traffic services unit are investigating the crash that happened shortly after 11 p.m. on Regina Street North near Columbia Street West.

The driver of the motorcycle, a Woolwich Township woman, was transported by Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services to a local hospital.

The driver of the Ford pickup, a 37-year-old female from Cambridge, was not injured.

Regina Street North was closed for several hours for the investigation and has since re-opened.

The investigation is ongoing, and charges are anticipated.
