Two 15-year-olds arrested in connection to vehicle theft probe

Two 15-year-old Cambridge youths were charged after police recoverd two stolen motorcycles as part of an ongoing investigation.

Waterloo Regional Police Service’s break, enter, and vehicle theft team completed a search warrant at a residence on Cedar Street in Cambridge on Oct. 8.

Two stolen motorcycles, a blue Yamaha that was reported stolen on Sept. 19, from a parking lot in west Galt and a black Suzuki motorcycle, reported stolen on Oct. 5 from a parking garage in Kitchener, were recovered by investigators.

As a result of the investigation, the pair were charged with theft of motor vehicle and possession of stolen property over $5,000.

A third vehicle, a black Hyperbike Ultra 40 e-bike, not previously reported as stolen, was also recovered.

Investigators would like to identify the vehicle’s owner and are asking anyone who believes the e-bike may be theirs to contact police at 519-570-9777, extension 8313 or [email protected]. Proof of purchase and serial number information is required.
