Cambridge man who rolled vehicle east of London charged with impaired driving

Police have charged a 45-year-old Cambridge man with impaired driving after he rolled his vehicle into the ditch on Thorndale Road in Thames Centre on Monday.

Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Thames Centre Fire and the Middlesex-London Paramedic Service responded to the accident shortly before 5:30 p.m. Monday, after receiving multiple complaints of a single vehicle rollover.

The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was transported to local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

As a result the driver was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and driving with a blood alcohol level above 80 mg.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice at a future date to speak to the charges.

The Middlesex OPP wants to remind the public that if you see anything suspicious or suspect an impaired driver you should contact the Ontario Provincial Police or your nearest police authority immediately.
