Arrest made following Monday morning break and enter

A 32-year-old male was charged in connections to a robbery and multiple break-and-enters in Kitchener and Waterloo

Waterloo Regional Police have charged a male in connection to a robbery and multiple break-and-enters in Kitchener and Waterloo.

On Feb. 24, at approximately 4 a.m., police responded to an in-progress break-and-enter at a business on Lancaster Street West in Kitchener.

Upon arrival, police located and arrested a male inside the store.

Through investigation, officers determined that the same male was responsible for a convenience store robbery in Kitchener earlier that morning, as well as three additional commercial break-ins, two on King Street North in Waterloo and another on Lancaster Street West in Kitchener.

The male, a 32-year-old from Kitchener, has been charged with the following offences:

  • robbery with a weapon
  • break, enter and commit theft (three counts)
  • break, enter – attempt

The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
