Adults, child visiting from Vietnam go missing after taking ride share

Family members not seen since Sept. 1, after leaving two other children at residence in Kitchener

Waterloo Regional Police say they are continuing their search in the mysterious case of three family members who went missing from the Kitchener area earlier this month.

Ho Hac Nguyen, 44, Trinh Nguyen, 43, and Alex Nguyen, 5, arrived in Toronto on Aug. 6 from Vietnam and later travelled to Kitchener to spend time with family friends.

They were last seen on Sept. 1 in the area of Doon Road and Rockway Drive when they left a residence in a ride share to visit an unknown friend at an unknown location, police said in a news release.

They left two other children, aged 12 and 14, at the residence.

Ho Hac is described as 5 ft. 4 in. tall, 120lbs, thin, with short black hair, brown eyes, and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans.

Trinh is described as 5 ft. 2 in. tall, 110lbs, thin, with long black hair. She was last seen wearing a red shirt and blue jeans.

Alex has short brown hair and brown eyes.
