Dorothy Jacqueline (Jackie) Wiliamson (Ste. Marie) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 21 2024 at Riverside Glen, Guelph, at the age of 87.
Jackie was born August 4th 1937 in Woodstock to Rita Ste Marie and raised by her grandmother & aunts in Mildmay ON. Upon graduating from Walkerton High School, she moved to Toronto to attend St Michael’s School of Nursing. After practicing nursing for a number years, she attended the University of Western Ontario where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She accepted a job as a Nursing Teacher with St Joseph’s School of Nursing and later joined Conestoga College as a Nurse Educator, focusing on Maternity Nursing, where she continued to work until her retirement in 2002. She was born with a caring soul that she shared with the world, touching the lives of so many colleagues, students and patients. Her kindness and joy of living will live on in those whose lives she touched. To the end, she maintained a positive outlook on life.
Jackie is survived by her children Trevor and Penny (Rory). The family is holding a Funeral Mass at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Guelph, on Saturday, August 31st at 10:00 a.m. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Guelph Country Club from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m.
