January 15, 1936 – January 14, 2025
Anne passed away peacefully at Cambridge Memorial Hospital one day before her 89th birthday. She was predeceased by her husband Alec in 2021 and is survived by her children Helen Kitchen (Grant), Cathy Favron (Nick), Alan Taggart (Adrienne) and Bill Taggart. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, all of whom she delighted in.
Mom was born in Yorkshire, England, moving to Canada in 1948 and she spent the rest of her life in Galt. She lived her life as a happy and positive person who delighted in the company of family and friends. She had a good sense of ‘fun’, was generous in spirit and welcoming to all. We hold dearly memories of family Christmas parties with ‘all the trimmings’ and her famous cheese ball!
The family would like to extend deep gratitude to the staff and administration of Chartwell Queen Square where she lived for the past three years. She was very happy and well cared for there. We would also like to extend thanks to the staff at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, Emergency Department, Medical Unit and Transitional Care unit where she has received excellent care over the years.
A private (family) Celebration of Life is planned in the upcoming weeks.
