Roy was born in Preston and he loved Preston. He was a real family man, especially when it came to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; he also loved nature, walking around the river everyday where he knew the names of every dog. He had a great sense of humour and loved joking around, enjoyed golfing and trips with family, spending time with his buddies at the Preston Legion, and was a lifelong member of St. Clement’s Catholic Church. Roy started working at the age of 14 to help the family, later working at Butler Metals, then retiring from Budd Automotive after 30 years of service.
