DECEMBER 22, 1938 – JULY 1, 2021
Passed away peacefully, with family by his side, on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Innisfree House, Kitchener, in his 83rd year.
Much loved husband of Moira for 50 years. Cherished father of Loren Phippen (Eddy Resch) and Allison Korculanic (Andy). He will also be lovingly remembered by his sister in-law Sheila Gallacher (Iain), niece Heather Gallacher and extended family and friends.
Doug retired at the age of 56 after more than 35 years with R.B.C. He enjoyed ice-skating at the mall and recently started roller-skating with the Cambridge Seniors' group and lawn bowling at the Preston Lawn Bowling Club. He also liked to read, especially mysteries and western novels.
The family wish to thank Dr. Robert Stevens and the staff at Grand River Cancer Centre, Dr. Laura Gregor and the staff of the Renal Clinic at Grand River, and the staff at Innisfree House for their compassionate care.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place.
