With great sadness, his family announces that Mario passed away after a brief illness on Friday, July 16, 2021 at London University Hospital, in his 60th year.

Beloved husband and best friend of Audrey (nee Marsh) for 30 years. Loving father of Matthew (Carmela) Pellegrino, Jessica Pellegrino, Laura (Shawn) McKnight, and Cheryl (Jenessa) Muranko and proud Papa to Michael McKnight. He will also be lovingly remembered by his siblings Giovanni (Becky) Pellegrino, Roberto (Maureen) Pellegrino, his brothers and sisters in-law in the U.S.A. Carol Morin, Doris Marsh, Gail (Charlie) Blake, Dawn (Bruce) Raymond, Kevin (Lori) Marsh, Glenn (Dee) Marsh, Kerry (Cyndi) Marsh, his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews some of whom are in Italy, the U.S.A., and in Canada. His friends, co-workers, and the family pets will also miss him.

Predeceased by his parents Armando and Domenica Pellegrino, mother and father in-law Francis and Barbara Marsh, and brother in-laws Francis Marsh II and Donald Morin.

Mario worked at Filtrek for 15 years and prior to that, Saint-Gobain Abrasives for 18 years. He enjoyed playing golf, riding his motorcycle, and hockey, especially cheering on the Montreal Canadiennes. Most important was spending time with his children and family; he was an avid supporter to them and their sports, coaching and managing kids’ hockey. He was also known for making his mother’s recipe for pasta sauce and has passed that on to Jessica by showing her how to make it.
