JANUARY 29, 1936 – JULY 22, 2024
Passed away peacefully after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s at Riverbend Place, Cambridge, Ontario in her 89th year.
Survived by husband of 66 loving years Ernest R. Mason, daughter Cathy Gosse, son Jim Mason and Anne, daughter Jennifer Mason Sheppard and Julian. Lovingly remembered by grandchildren John (Becky), Liz (John), Kate, Sam, Mackenzie, Roman and Emily. Cherished by three great grandsons, Johnathan, Jake and Jack.
Patricia Danforth was born into a very large family from Waterville, Quebec. She came to Ontario with Ernest in 1960s and settled into Galt, Cambridge then to Branchton Ontario. Pat loved children and was a very integral part of helping to care for grandchildren. They all have to this day memories of fond smells from her kitchen and happy memories of many a celebration. Our mother loved to bake up a storm listening to her radio singing along with the likes of Anne Murray. She loved Anne Murray and many of the care givers who provided her the support she needed so wonderfully over the last three years now are quite familiar with the Anne Murray repertoire. Many of these caregivers were like family to her and her to them. Our family is very thankful for their kindness.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held in the near future as there is much to celebrate and honour. In lieu of flowers, donations made in Pat's memory to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated.
