It is with profound sadness that the family of Paula Johnstone announce her passing on December 11th, 2024 at Cambridge Memorial Hospital in Cambridge, Ontario after a short but courageous battle.
Paula was a generous and loving mother, daughter, sister, Nana and friend who loved to help others. She graduated from Conestoga College in 2008 with a diploma in Social Work where she spent many years working and helping her community, and won many awards for her community service and advocacy.
Born in Hamilton, Ontario, Paula had many friends and family who miss miss her strong spirit tremendously. Paula is predeceased by her mother and father, Sandy & Eileen Johnstone (nee Wishart), her son Wayne (Bobby) Moore and her cat of 17 years, Shasta. She is survived by her children Vernon "Aaron" Myke, Nicole "Nicky" Myke, Joshua Corrigan, brothers Jason (Carrie) Johnstone and Alex (Benita) Johnstone, and her grandchildren who she adored— Hazelyn & Ryleigh Goddard.
The family would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the many doctors, nurses, social workers and staff who cared for our mother over the years and in her final moments. We will forever be grateful for the exceptional love and care she received. Special thank you to Dr. Pengelly.
A memorial visitation for Paula will be held at the T. Little Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Cambridge, on Friday, January 10, 2025 from 2:00 to 3:00 pm, followed by a celebration of life at 3:00 pm. Cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation are greatly appreciated. We love you Mom. "See Ya".
