With great sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Kathleen Barbara Hilgartner on Friday, August 20, 2021 at the age of 50.
Kathleen was loving, caring, selfless, and beautiful inside and out. She loved animals, especially her pets Molly, Willow, Patches, and Penny. Kathleen’s greatest achievement was becoming a Mom, and there’s nothing she loved more than spending time with her children and family. She was an avid reader and enjoyed antiques, “treasure finding” at yard sales, and bead art. Kathleen will be forever remembered by her beloved husband of 30 years, John Hilgartner. She will be deeply missed by her son Nicholas Hilgartner, daughter Cassidy Hilgartner, father Raymond Ruddy, brother Raymond Jr. Ruddy (Rose), sister Kim Kelly (Andy), brothers-in-law Charles and Randy Hilgartner, nieces and nephews Mike (Melissa) and Sarah Veilleux (Rich), Alex and Aaron Ruddy, and Roslyn and Brandon Hilgartner (Karlee), Aunt Nina, Uncle Frank, and many more extended family members and friends. Kathleen was predeceased by her mother Sophia Ruddy and parents-in-law Margaret and Gordon Hilgartner. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Cambridge & District Humane Society would be appreciated.
