It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mark George Hay, who left us unexpectedly at the age of 47 on September 26, 2024. Born on December 3, 1976, Mark was a loving husband, father, son, and brother who devoted his life to his family and community.

Mark was cherished by his loving wife Kendra, with whom he shared 18 wonderful years. Mark was also a proud father to Claire and Eddie, and his commitment to their well-being was unwavering.

As a son to William Hay (the late Sylvia "Peg" Hay) and a brother to Julie Hay, Mark was a source of support and love, creating lasting memories with family.

Mark found great joy in coaching Eddie’s U14B Cambridge Hawks team for the past 3 years where he instilled not just skills, but also the values of teamwork and dedication. He also loved watching Claire excel throughout her hockey career.

Together with his father and son Eddie, he cherished moments spent working on their beloved hot rods, including their prized 1937 Chevy’s, forging a bond that will forever be remembered.

Professionally, Mark excelled in the automotive world at DRIV, where he was recognized as the top salesman this past summer. His passion for cars and commitment to his work were evident in everything he did.

Mark touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love, community, and dedication to family will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

A Celebration of Mark's life will be held on Sunday October 6th, 2024 at the Preston Legion (334 Westminster Dr. N., Cambridge) from 2-5 pm where friends and family are invited to come for a drink and share memories. Please feel free to bring your Hot Rods.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the GoFundMe for Mark's family at https://www.gofundme.com/f/mark-hay-and-his-family-kendra-claire-and-eddie , or Lisaard House https://lisaardandinnisfree.com/support-us/.
