Mary Anita Harshuk, born March 31, 1929 in Galt peacefully passed away at Freeport Hospital on March 2, 2025 at the age of 95. Predeceased by her parents, Harry and Emilia, her brother Alexander (Helen) and her cherished sister Sylvia. She was a special Aunt and Great Aunt to the Law family, Will and Joanne and their children Bill (Jessica), Heather (Kyle), David (Heather), Kevin, Andrew, Mark and Emily.

Mary and her sister, Sylvia were a fundamental part of the Law family, taking part in all celebrations, and there were many of them that were made better because they were there. Mary lived her life in Cambridge. She was a graduate of GCI and the went on to work at Arnold's Pharmacy on Main Street. During this time she was offered a job with Dr. Irvin White, a local dentist. She accepted the offer and spent the rest of her working years being a dental assistant. Mary loved that job as it connected her with many families in Cambridge whom she knew throughout her life.

Although she had a drivers license, Mary walked to and from her job daily. She was always active, both socially and physically. Her favourite activity was golfing. She was one of the first women to join the Galt Country Club and after more than 50 years the club made her an honourary member. She took a lot of pride in that status and continued to enjoy going there for lunch and socializing even when she wasn't really golfing anymore. It seemed that whatever club she participated in (Probus, card clubs etc.) she was always well liked. Mary was fun, always interested in others and willing to try something new. She enjoyed telling stories about the past and all the mischief she would get into in her younger years.

After retirement Mary along with Sylvia resided on Margaret Street where she embraced community life, enjoying bingo nights, card games and pot luck dinners. The neighbours in the apartment were not only good friends but her support system whenever it was needed. After Sylvia's passing Mary moved to assisted living at Riverbend Place. Although she only lived there for a short 2 months she settled in well and enjoyed participating regularly in the daily activities. She appreciated all the care she received and made friendships instantly. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to all the friends at Margaret Street, the staff at Riverbend and all the doctors and nurses at both Cambridge and Freeport Hospitals who kept her comfortable and took such good care of her during her final weeks. Mary's life was a true demonstration of a life well-lived. She will truly be missed.

A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025 at 11:00 am at T. Little Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Cambridge, Ontario. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 12:00 pm., with a luncheon to honour Mary's life. If wished, memorial donations may be made to the Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation in memory of Mary.
