Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, at the Stedman Community Hospice, Brantford on Tuesday December 24, 2024, at the age of 79.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Marinus. Cherished mother of Mark (Josée), Peter (Ethel) and Sandra Noseworthy (Douglas). Proud grandmother of Justin, Joshua and Renée and great grandmother of Ariah, Leilah, Hudson and Delilah. Loving sister of Anna “Anneke” and Marjorie. Maria will also be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by her parents Abraham and Maria Gordyn and her siblings Jacobus “Jack”, Cornelis “Casey”, Helena, Martinus “Martin”, and Adrianus “Adrian”.
Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St., Cambridge, where family and friends will be received on Sunday December 29, 2024, from 2-4 & 7-9p.m. Parish Prayers will be held at 3:30p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, 210 South St., Cambridge, on Monday December 30, 2024, at 11a.m. Interment will follow at Kirkwall Cemetery.
