FEBRUARY 19, 1930 – AUGUST 10, 2021
With heavy hearts we announce Francelina’s passing on Tuesday, August 10, 2021. Francelina passed away peacefully, in the comfort of her home with loving family by her side at the age of 91.
She is together once again with her beloved husband João (1971) after so many years apart. Loving a devoted mother to Joe (Ines) Camara, Marie (Daryl) Werstine and Tony Camara. Proud Vavó to Nelson (Kelly) Camara, Jason (Nikki), Camara, Jessica Camara, TJ Camara, Eric Werstine and great-Grandmother to Evan, Katrina, Ayaka, Corbin, Xavier, Dante, Gabriella and Juliana. Dear sister of Lourdes Moura of Portugal. Francelina is predeceased by her granddaughter Vanessa Marie Werstine (2021), great-grandson Luka Antonio and her brothers and sisters. Francelina will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her extended family and friends.
A generous and giving woman, Francelina loved to knit and found so much joy in knitting blankets that she would give to family for the arrival of a new baby and also to the hospital so that others could be more comfortable during their stay. She also loved to bake and would often gift friends and family with her homemade treats. Faith was incredibly important to Francelina, she was a devoted parishioner of St. Gregory’s Church for more than 25 years.
Friends and family will be received on Monday, August 16, 2021 at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge from 6 – 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place the following day, on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at St. Gregory’s Church, 10 St. Gregory’s Drive, Cambridge at 10am. Interment to follow at Mount View Cemetery, Cambridge.
