Pearl Cahoon passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital with her family by her side at the age of 83.

Born in Belfast, Ireland, on November 10, 1941, to the late Jack and Annie Brown. She was the last surviving child of 11. Pearl's journey through life was marked by her unwavering kindness, creativity, and the profound love she held for her family and friends.

In 1959, at the tender age of 17, Pearl wed her lifelong love, Robert Cahoon, in a ceremony that would mark the beginning of a beautiful partnership lasting 65 years. Together, they embarked on a life full of adventure and growth, welcoming their children: Stephen (Carolyn), Robert, Ruth, and Joanne. Pearl's heart grew with each addition to her family, including her grandchildren: Brittney Barnes (Elliot), Amanda Beekmeyer (Hansel), Daniel, Jerry Baumer, Jacqueline Baumer, Katherine Pearl Roslyn Bickford, Daniel Nathan, and Jonathan Baumer. Special great grandmother of Findlay Barnes.

Pearl lived in Belfast, Ireland until 1969. They initially settled in Galt, Ontario, before moving to Burnaby, British Columbia. Eventually, Pearl's heart led her back to Galt, where she remained until her final days.

A skilled printer by trade, Pearl's work was reflective of her meticulous nature and her passion for leaving a lasting impression. Pearl was a voracious reader who could always be found with a book in hand. Her creative soul found joy in knitting, crafting warmth and comfort for those she loved. Pearl was the embodiment of loving kindness, touching the lives of all who knew her with her gentle presence and creative flair.
