It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Antonio Buffone, who left us peacefully on January 21, 2025, at the age of 89, with his loving family by his side.

Born on February 23, 1935, Antonio lived a life full of love, dedication, and unwavering passion for his family and traditions.

He was predeceased by his parents Eugenio and Francesca Buffone, his cherished wife Rosina “Rose” (nee Gesufatto) (February 29, 2004), brother Gino (March 6th, 2021) (Giuseppina

November 18, 2018) and his dear son, Patrizio (August 8, 2023).

Antonio leaves behind his brother Mario (Ida Caicco, deceased); sister Carmela (Pasquale); half-sisters Ida (John, deceased), Assunta (Antonio), and Silvana (Santo); sons, Claudio (Katherine) and Carlo (Gina); and his daughter-in-law Sina. Proud grandfather of Sonya (Kelsey), Nigel (Kathleen), Julian (Kristin), Alexandra (Gustavo), Stephanie (Tyler), Cassandra, and Luca (Gabrielle). His great-grandchildren, Sydney Rose, Addison, Zinnia Rose, Elowen, Isabelle, Keenan, Francis, Ivy Rose, and Giorgia, were a source of immense joy in his later years.

Antonio leaves a legacy of endless love for his late wife Rose, his children, grand children and his great grand children. He was also a devoted brother, uncle and Godfather.

His ability to remember all birthdays, and his role as the heart of every family gathering, we will forever cherish.

Being a man of remarkable skill and resourcefulness, Antonio could fix anything. In his senior years, he continued to work a few partial days a week at Carlo’s factory playing an intricate role, valued by all who he interacted with.

He tended his bountiful garden with pride and mastered the art of canning tomatoes, making sausage, prosciutto, and capocollo. Through these simple but meaningful traditions, he not only nourished his family but also kept his heritage alive for the next generations. Antonio was happiest creating simple, authentic Calabrian meals.

His ethic of hard work, and dedication will continue to inspire all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by his family, friends, coworkers, and the countless lives he touched.

Rest in peace, Antonio. Your deep love, passion, and light will guide us always.

Antonio’s family invites all who knew and loved him to join them in celebrating his life. A visitation will be held at T. Little Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 29th from 6:00 to 9:00 PM, with prayers taking place at 8:30 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 30th at 11:00 AM at St. Ambrose Church.
