Cambridge left-handed pitcher Jackson Soucie has garnered another honour for his impressive 2024 season.

He's been named the Canadian Baseball Network College Player of the Year after receiving 39 first-place votes from the electorate of 55 voters.

The website covers Canadian baseball from the grassroots to Major League Baseball.

The St. Benedict Catholic Secondary School graduate spent last season pitching at Wabash Valley College in Mount Carmel, Ill.

He put together an 8-2 record to go along with a 2.18 ERA and 98 strikeouts over 70.1 innings.

Soucie was also named the Great Rivers Athletic Conference and Region 24 Pitcher of the Year back in May.

After two seasons at Wabash Valley, which included a trip to the National Junior College Athletic Association championship game in 2023, he transferred to the University of South Carolina for the 2025 season.
