The Cambridge RedHawks have signed two players with experience on the international stage as their roster overhaul for the 2024-25 season continues.
Forward Yann Raskin and goaltender Lennart Neisse make their way to Cambridge from the Brantford Bandits.
Raskin, a native of Tel Aviv, Israel, potted 12 points for the Bandits and represented Team Israel at the U20 World Junior Division III Championship where he scored four goals and added nine assists in five games as his team won the gold medal. He later donned his country's colours again in the Division II World Championship in May.
Neisse hails from Schrobenhausen, Germany and posted a 5-14-0 record with a 4.34 goal against average and an .894 save percentage for Brantford. After the season, he attended development camp with the National Hockey League's Vegas Golden Knights.
Like Raskin, Neisse has played for his country.
During the U18 Division I championships last year he went 4-0 with a 2.22 GAA and .908 save percentage.
Cambridge has three exhibition games currently scheduled ahead of their season opener. They'll play in Stratford on Aug. 23 and visit Kitchener-Waterloo on Sept. 3. They then welcome Kitchener-Waterloo to Galt Arena Gardens on Sept. 7.
The RedHawks regular season begins on Sept. 13 in St. Catharines against the Falcons.
Their home opener is set for the following night versus the Pelham Panthers.
