Cambridge's Emma Spence has once again been recognized by the Big Ten Conference for her impressive performances for the University of Nebraska gymnastics team.
Spence was named to the All-Big Ten Conference First Team on Tuesday. She was also selected to the team in 2023.
This season, Spence has produced career highs on vault (9.925), floor (9.950) and in the all-around (39.650), and posted a season high 9.900 or above in every event.
She was named the Big Ten Co-Gymnast of the Week on March 19 after tying career highs on floor and in the all-around against the University of Arkansas.
On the season, she's earned 13 event titles, including one on vault, one on beam, two on floor, four on bars and five in the all-around.
The Huskers competed at the Big Ten championship over the weekend where they defeated Iowa, Penn State and Rutgers. They suffered losses to Maryland and Illinois to finish in seventh place.
Spence was named to the Big Ten Conference Championship team after finishing first in the all-around (39.450), bars (9.900) and floor (9.900).
The Huskers now head to the NCAA championships where they will take part in the Arkansas regional from April 3 to 6 along with the host Razorbacks, the University of Kentucky and University of Arizona.
