Goalkeeper Rylee Foster is on the move.
The Cambridge native recently signed with Durham Women FC in England's second-tier FA Championship.
It's the latest stop on a well travelled football path.
After spending four years at West Virginia University, Foster made the trek across the Atlantic to play for Liverpool FC in 2020 before joining the Australian A-League's Wellington Phoenix in 2023.
This past September, she signed with Everton and played in the Barclays Women’s Super League for the first half of the season.
Hi Rylee!👋

We’re delighted to announce the signing of Canadian goalkeeper Rylee Foster!🇨🇦#DurhamWFC
In an interview on the Durham's website, she expressed her appreciation and excitement for a new opportunity.
"I’m really excited, one of my favourite things about coming to a new club is to introduce myself to the fans and kind of immerse myself into their culture," Foster said.
"I’m looking forward to hopefully impressing them when my debut comes and creating that relationship with them, helping to make them proud of the girls."
Foster's accomplishments are even more impressive given her career almost came to an abrupt end when she was involved in serious car accident in Finland in 2021.
A seat belt malfunction sent her through the windshield resulting in several fractured vertebrae, brain bleeding and other significant injuries.
It was an experience that gave her perspective on and off the field.
"When I look at life, I kind of laugh," she said in a phone interview with CambridgeToday back in October.
"Before I took everything so seriously. Football was everything for me and I never really had time to reflect and appreciate the small things. I think everyone in life does that, we get caught going through the motions. I'm doing everything possible to make sure I'm enjoying myself."
Healthy and back to playing the game she loves, Foster is ready for her next adventure on the pitch.
"The first few days, I’ve really enjoyed it, and I’m excited to get started with the girls."
