Cambridge defenceman Chandler Romeo has landed on his skates.
Just over a week after being released by the ECHL's Orlando Solar Bears, Romeo has inked a deal with the Bloomington Bison.
Based out of Bloomington, Ill., the Bison are also a member of the ECHL and are an affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Rangers.
Romeo played in 189 Ontario Hockey League games prior to embarking on his professional career. Stops in Hamilton, Sarnia and Guelph saw him produce 12 goals and 31 assists for 43 points. He also recorded 218 penalty minutes.
He was originally selected in the seventh round of the 2021 National Hockey League draft by the Ottawa Senators.
The Bison return to action tonight in Iowa against the Heartlanders.
