If you're not hitting the road, or headed to a cottage this weekend, here's a list of what's open and closed for the August long weekend so you can plan ahead.
The Cambridge Centre mall is open regular hours Saturday and Sunday, and Aug. 7, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Most grocery stores are open the holiday Monday. Check your local store's website for posted hours.
The Beer Store at 200 Franklin Boulevard and at 150 Holiday Inn Dr. (drive thru only) are open Monday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Other Cambridge locations are closed for the holiday.
LCBO locations will be open regular hours the holiday Monday.
Most Cambridge facilities are closed for business over the long weekend but regular hours are in effect through Monday at the John Dolson Centre and the W. G. Johnson Centre.
The Cambridge Farmers' Market is also open regular hours Saturday, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
All arenas in the city are closed from Saturday to Monday.
The David Durward Centre, the Ted Wake Centre, and the William E. Pautler Centre, the Cambridge Centre for the Arts and the Allan Reuter Centre are closed throughout the weekend.
Idea Exchanges are open Saturday regular hours but closed Sunday and Monday.
Cambridge City Hall and all administrative offices are closed Monday.
Cemetery admin offices are closed Monday along with Public Works.

- Regional of Waterloo Customer Service line open 24/7 at 519-575-4400
- Grand River Transit (GRT) will operate on a holiday service schedule. Holiday service is noted on all route schedules. GRT customer service locations and hours of operation:

- Note: Customer service will be closed from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

- Regular curbside collection of garbage, blue box, green bin, yard waste and bulky items. Please have items out by 7 a.m.

What’s closed on August 7:
- Cambridge and Waterloo waste sites will be closed for residential drop-off
- All Regional administrative offices (99 Regina in Waterloo, 150 Frederick in Kitchener, 150 Main in Cambridge, Airport Administrative offices)
- GRT Operations Centre at 250 Strasburg Rd. in Kitchener
- Region of Waterloo libraries
- Home Child Care is operating as specified by your provider. Offices will be closed. For urgent issues, call 519-575-4400 and ask for Home Child Care.
- Sunnyside Home reception and administration will be closed August 7, but visitors and caregivers are welcome
