Outerwhere

Queen’s Square Idea Exchange - 1 North Square, All day

Take in one of two exhibitions of contemporary Canadian artist, Meera Sethi. Running until Dec. 17.

The Gaslight District Holiday Market

64 Grand Ave S, all day

Shop at local vendors and visit with Santa. Happening every weekend until Dec. 17. 

Old Post Office Book Club

Old Post Office Idea Exchange - 12 Water St S, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

This group meets monthly to discuss a set title. December’s book is The Light Between Oceans by M. L. Stedman.

Galt Photo Walks

Fire Hall Museum - 56 Dickson St, 10 a.m. and 6:15 p.m.

Join local photographers and artists Joe Lethbridge and Will Ivany for a tour through Galt. Bring a camera or phone to capture the moment. To register and for the full schedule visit 1228 Studios. Occurring every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday for the remainder of the year.

Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol

St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church - 810 King St E, 7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.

Get your holidays going with this timeless story. The night will feature dramatic reading from Waterloo Region chair Karen Redman, Waterloo Regional Police Service chief Mark Crowell, Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada Bishop Michael Pryse, Dr. Michael Lawrie and Eugenia Shanz. A central community food hub, the market features 26 year round vendors and 30 seasonal vendors.

Cambridge Christmas Market

City hall - 50 Dickson St, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Shop from 60 local artisans and try seasonal food. Continues Sunday at 10 p.m.
