Folk trio NUA will play an intimate concert of Irish and Scottish influenced music on Jan. 26 in the Wesley United Church sanctuary in downtown Galt.
NUA is an award-winning, Toronto-based trad trio from Toronto, described as "bringing fresh and unique sounds to traditional music and their own distinctive original compositions."
The band consists of three award-winning members: fiddle player James Law, guitarist Graeme McGillivray and bodhrán player Jacob McCauley.
"The original tune-writing of NUA gives their music its ground-breaking, adventurous quality, as demonstrated on their debut album BOLD and follow-up album FLOW. Bordering on progressive, while hinting at the traditions of the past, NUA’s compositions will take you on an exhilarating journey, creating an atmosphere and mood unique to the listener."
Wesley United is located at 6 Cambridge Street. Tickets are $20 and are available HERE or at the door.
Parking for the show is available behind City Hall, in the Cambridge Street lot. Please enter the church through the Cambridge Street doors.
