The Waterloo Regional Police Service is reminding people to save the date for its upcoming open house.
On Saturday, May 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., residents can take part in a day of fun activities and tour the WRPS headquarters at 200 Maple Grove Road.
Information booths, food trucks, rock climbing, train rides and police demonstrations are all on the schedule.
The open house kicks off Police Week in Ontario, which runs from May 12 to 18.
"Our open house is an opportunity to highlight and celebrate the important role our police officers and members play in community safety and our vital relationships and partnerships with the community in this regard,” Melissa Quarrie, public information officer for WRPS, said prior to last year's event.
“The open house is a fun-filled day where families can enjoy a variety of activities and connect with our members and partners to learn about how we can all play a role in community safety."
There is no cost to attend the open house and it will run rain or shine.
