A major Rogers outage is affecting Canadians across the country, with many waking up Friday to find their wireless and internet services were down.
The cause of the issue is unknown at this time but the problem is confirmed to be affecting people nation-wide.
Fido services also appear to be down.
The issues appear to have begun sometime around 4 a.m. EST. A timeline for when services will be restored has not yet been provided.
Many people have taken to social media to vent their frustrations amid the outage.
Some police services in Ontario have shared on Twitter that the outage may also affect a person’s ability to reach emergency services, including 911.
More to come.

Some may experience issues connecting with 9-1-1.
If your call fails, please try again, or call from a landline or cell phone with another provider. pic.twitter.com/PtaHn5o3T7
Our non-emergency phone lines are affected by the Rogers outage and are not working this morning. Please DO NOT call 911 to report power or cell outages. Also treat non-functioning traffic lights as 4-way stops. #Guelph #UseCommonSensePlease -st pic.twitter.com/sXQvtD2bsf
